I would like to download ShapeFinder and I could not find it in the website. Can you help or send the file to the email?
Dear Dr. Giddings,
I am a graduate student in Texas A&M University, Health Science Centre. I am very interested in the ShapeFinder software. I am writing you to ask what the input formats from sequencing instrument are compatible with ShapeFinder software. The sequencing instrument that we are using is ABI 3130 analyzer, which output formats are only .abl and .seq files, as far as I know. I am wondering whether .abl files from ABI 3130 analyzer can be read in ShapeFinder software, or it has to be .txt file that can be input in ShapeFinder. Thank you very much for your help in advance.
Best regards,
Dong
Dear Dr. Giddings,
I am a Ph.D. student at Darmstadt, University of Technology (Germany), Genetics Department. I am very interested in using the ShapeFinder software. At the moment I am encountering some problems using the software. The sequencing instrument that we are using is an ABI 310 analyzer running on OS MAC 9. The generated files are in an unknown format while there is no available extension. I would like to ask you what kind of extension file formats are compatible with ShapeFinder software. Do you have any suggestions for uploading these generated files into ShapeFinder software? I am looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you very much for your help in advance.
Kind regards,
Anne Kleinert
Dear Dr. Giddings,
I am a postdoctoral researcher in UCSD. I have some problems in using the ShapeFinder software. It seems that the “creating mobility shift” functions doesn’t work. I tried “create by sliding traces”, the trace fragment moves, but it won’t stay at the targeted place. I tried “create by hand”, I don’t see a difference no matter what number I put in. Do you have any idea what is going wrong here and how to solve this? Thank you very much.
Best wishes,
Lijuan
Dear Dr. Giddings,
I am a graduate student at University of Virginia. I am unable to download ShapeFinder software from the software tab of your lab website. The download page just won’t load. I tried opening the page using both Safari and Firefox using different computers but in vain. I was also not able to find the software elsewhere online.
The url for downloading this software mentioned in different research articles is also not active.
Could you please check to see that the software is downloadable online.
Thank You.

Thanks!
Hello,

Hello,
I also was unable to download the Shapefinder soft from the link. I’m a postdoc in Nice University and I’d like to implement Shape in the lab instead of the traditional sequencing gel… Could you please provide a way to get the software?
Thanks a lot for your help,
Best,
tom
I’m a IT representative with the Texas A&M Health Science Center. I have a customer whose wanting to use Shapefinder, I was unable to download it via the link. Is this still a possibility? I appreciate the assistance.
Thank You,
Erick…
